Why do people toss and turn? Pressure caused by their mattress.
After 15 minutes, a signal is sent to the brain telling them
to move to relieve the pressure. Circulation has been cut off
to tissue. The National Sleep Foundation reports that the average
person tosses and turns 60 to 100 times per night.
Studies show that this constant tossing and turning keeps
us from having a good night's sleep. When you remove these
pressure points you have a better chance of waking up feeling
refreshed.
In order to eliminate pressure points, you have to displace
body weight. To do this you must use a liquid or a gas...it's
simple physics. Unfortunately, most beds use springs and foam
or just foam. The springs push back which causes you to toss
and turn and foam cannot displace weight-it only absorbs it.
That's why we use air and our pressure-free Self Adjusting
Technology from our medical sleep systems. Our technology ensures
that you have pressure-free sleep all night long regardless
of sleep position.
